Letter From Truman

Have you ever wondered about how things are powered? It's all about energy! There are so many sources of energy - and that is a good thing. Learn about the different kinds of energy and some interesting energy sources in "Connections."

I spoke with Eric Curtis this month. He works on the Hoover Dam, which is a source of energy for Nevada, Arizona and California. It generates about 4 billion kilowatt-hours of hydroelectric power each year. That is enough energy to serve 1.3 million people.

Speaking of energy, it's a lot of fun to get outside and burn off extra energy with games like laser tag and freeze tag! Those are two of my favorite games. What's your favorite game?

Your friend,

Truman
