As soon as you are able to fill out an address on an envelope, try starting your own Christmas Card List! Find out how much fun it is to send friends and relatives a special card that is from you alone and see how great it is to have your friends start sending you Christmas cards, too. You will love to check the mail each day to see what special card might be there with just YOUR name on it!

Here are a few tips to successful Christmas-card sending:
1. Be sure to sign each card personally.
2. Never use computer-printed mailing labels (although pre-printed
return-address labels are okay).
3. Even though Christmas is a Christian holiday, you might consider sending a Happy Holidays card if you have a good friend or relative who does not celebrate Christmas.
4. Since the holiday season officially begins the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas and holiday cards may be mailed as soon after that as you like.

Christmas Greeting-card Etiquette
Hand-write the recipient's name inside the card, even if it is pre-printed with a greeting, and then sign it.
If you like, include a very simple personal message.
Send the card in time for the recipient to receive it before Christmas!
Remember to include your return address on the envelope.
If you send a card to someone, and it is not reciprocated for two years in a row, then it is okay to take that person off the list.
You should send a card to everyone who sends one to you.
Don't send E-Christmas cards instead of a snail-mail card. E-greetings are okay if you also send a real card.
