April showers bring May flowers. Have you ever heard that saying? I can't wait for those flowers! And sometimes it's true that spring time weather can be unpredictable, but what the saying really means is that some unpleasant things can lead to better things. When you think about the environment, that is also true. Humans haven't always done a great job of taking care of our environment, but now more and more people are getting involved and helping to clean up our Earth and ensure a bright future.
In April, we celebrate two special days that help bring attention to our natural surroundings. Earth Day and Arbor Day are both in April, and you can read about them in this issue! Do you know what the "environment" is? Read the Story Time section and learn how Sharon finds the environment!
