Dear Kids,

October is here already! Have you visited a pumpkin patch lately? I always love to go to a local farm and go on a hayride this time of year. I learn about all of the vegetables that have been harvested and pick out the biggest pumpkin to take home and carve!
In this issue, you'll find a recipe for a Veggie Wrap to put those vegetables to good use! I've also included some safety tips for Halloween if you plan to go out trick-or-treating. I don't like the tricks, just the treats!

Lots of things go on during the month of October. National School Bus Safety Week is one of them. It's very important that you know these safety rules to make sure you get to school safely. Our school bus drivers do a great job of getting all those kids to school each month it's a big responsibility. Please do your part and listen to your bus driver so that everybody has a great and safe ride!
Fire Prevention Week begins October 8. If you like to help out in the kitchen, be sure to read the safety tips in this issue!
