Vietnam Like most countries, Vietnam celebrates a National Day, also known as Independence Day. In August of 1945, the Vietnamese started the revolution against French colonists. The Vietnamese gained victory, and on September 2, 1945, Ho Chi Minh delivered the Declaration of Independence in BaDinh Square. This day is celebrated by decorating the streets with banners, flags and lights. There is a parade and many festivities, including a grand display of fireworks.
Italy On September 10, the people of Foligno, Italy, will gather for Giostra della Quintana, or the joust of the Quintana.
