Kids Club Stacker
Use your leftover Thanksgiving turkey to make this great sandwich!
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 slice uncooked bacon 2 slices sandwich bread 1 teaspoon mayonnaise or mustard 1 small lettuce leaf 1 slice deli ham 1 slice American cheese 1 slice deli turkey 1 tomato slice, if youd like
DIRECTIONS: - With adult help: Cover a paper plate with a paper towel. Place the uncooked bacon slice on the paper towel and cover it with another paper towel. Place the paper plate in the microwave oven and microwave it on HIGH for 45 to 60 seconds or until the bacon is cooked through and crisp. Remove the bacon from the microwave. Wait until it is completely cool, then break it in half.
- With adult help: Place the bread slices in the toaster and toast them until they are light golden brown. Carefully remove the bread slices from the toaster and place them in a cutting board. With a cookie cutter shape, cut a shape out of each bread slice.
- Spread one side of one (1) bread lice with mayonnaise or mustard. Place the lettuce leaf on top. Stack the ham, cheese and turkey slices on top of each other on the cutting board. Cut through all three (3) slices with the same cutter shape.
- To make the sandwich, put the meat and cheese stack on top of the lettuce. Top with the bacon. Add a tomato slice, if youd like. Place the other toast shape on top. Enjoy!
Helpful Hint: You can cut up and refrigerate the leftover scraps of meat and cheese and add them to scrambled eggs for tomorrows breakfast.
